Former soccer star Gheorge Hagi receives national order 'Star of Romania' from Interim President Ilie Bolojan

Hagi, 65, currently the owner and manager of Farul Constanta soccer club, was considered one of the best players in the world during the 1980s and the'90s, being regarded as the greatest Romanian soccer player ever under the nickname 'The King'. Dubbed by Galatasaray club fans as 'The Commander' while sports jurnalists nicknamed him as 'The Maradona of the Carpathians', Hagi played along his career for succer clubs in Spain, at Real Madrid and Barcelona, in Italy at Brescia, and in Turkey, for Galatasaray.
