GEMX® 플랫폼은 미국, EU, 한국, 일본과 중국 등 전 세계적으로 30개 이상의 특허가 부여된 CAMX의 기본 발명을 기반으로 한다. GEMX 발명은 분자 공학을 통해 양극 입자의 핵심 위치에 코발트, 알루미늄 등을 위치시켜 더 적은 코발트를 사용하면서도 고망간 등 모든 등급의 니켈 기반 양극 물질의 더 높은 안정성, 더 높은 성능 및 더 낮은 비용을 구현한다. GEMX 파생 제품들은 gNMC®, gNMCA®, gNCA® 및 gLNO®의 브랜드가 붙어있다.

Panasonic Energy has taken a license from CAMX Power to the latest GEMX® platform of cathode active material for lithium-ion batteries

LEXINGTON, Mass. Aug. 22, 2024 /PRNewswire/ -- CAMX Power LLC (CAMX) and Panasonic Energy Co., Ltd. (Panasonic Energy), a Panasonic Group Company, announce that Panasonic Energy has taken a license from CAMX to the latest GEMX® platform of cathode active material for lithium-ion batteries.

The GEMX® platform is based on fundamental inventions of CAMX for which more than 30 patents have been granted globally, including the US, EU, Korea, Japan and China. The GEMX inventions, through molecular engineering, place cobalt, aluminum, etc. at the critical places of the cathode particles resulting in the use of less cobalt, yet with greater stability, higher performance and lower cost for all classes of nickel-based cathode materials including high-manganese. Its derivative products have been branded as gNMC®, gNMCA®, gNCA®, and gLNO®.
