FUKUOKA, Japan Jul. 9, 2024 /AsiaNet=연합뉴스/-- From June 18 to 20, the "Charm of Jiangsu" Cultural Tourism Carnival, organized by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, took place in Fukuoka, Japan. Held in Fukuoka Tenjin Central Park, this carnival featured unique performances, themed promotions, intangible cultural heritage interactions, and gourmet tastings, allowing visitors to experience the gentle charm and rich heritage of Jiangsu in the refreshing summer night air. Japanese director Ryo Takeuchi's documentary film "The Yangtze River" premiered at the event.

Visitors watched the intricate process of crafting Yixing clay teapots, marveling at the exquisite traditional Chinese craftsmanship. In the tea-tasting zone, the delicate fragrance of Biluochun tea mingled with the rich aroma of Fukuoka's Yame tea, symbolizing the deepening cultural exchanges between the two nations. Li Chuan, Deputy Director of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, promoted Jiangsu's cultural and tourism resources from various perspectives, including beautiful scenery, delightful flavors, rich humanities, and a graceful lifestyle. He warmly invited Japanese tourists to visit Jiangsu to experience its natural beauty and cultural charm, fostering deeper cooperation and exchange in cultural tourism. Fukuoka residents expressed their admiration for Jiangsu's picturesque landscapes and profound culture, hoping to visit Jiangsu in the future to experience the water town life firsthand.

At the interactive booths, Jiangsu's intangible cultural heritage inheritors taught their skills. The intricate art of paper cutting, lifelike dough figurines, and ancient woodblock printing techniques allowed visitors to deeply appreciate the wonders of traditional Chinese culture through hands-on experience.

Since this year, Jiangsu has launched inbound tourism routes themed around gardens, cuisine, intangible cultural heritage, ecology, wellness, and museums, targeting major source markets in Europe and Asia. The province places a high emphasis on engaging the younger generation, promoting the "3D Cloud Tour - Charm of Jiangsu" online experience. Additionally, a first-stop service platform for inbound tourists has been established, offering one-stop services such as online reservations, mobile payments, and foreign currency exchange. Key cultural and tourism sites have set up multilingual online reservation areas and offline service counters, improving the payment environment and convenience for inbound tourists, ensuring they have a delightful experience.
