With the easing of coronavirus-related travel restrictions and the favorable exchange rate of the Japanese yen, Accordia Golf Co., Ltd. has witnessed a surge in golfing by foreign tourists. According to statistics released by the Japan National Tourism Organization (JNTO), the number of Korean tourists, the largest nationality of inbound travelers to Japan, from January to April in 2024 (estimates), increased 13.3% from the same period in 2019 and 45.1% from the same period of 2023.

The 2022 JNTO handbook for invitation of inbound travelers to Japan (covering four markets in East Asia) notes that many Korean tourists to Japan prefer short trips by individuals as their feature, with easy online data gathering and booking of destinations boosting demand for personal travel. Also, very cold weather in winter in South Korea and relatively high green fees there have increased demand for golfing overseas. Especially for golf courses in Japan, interest and popularity among Koreans tend to be high because of easy weekend round trips to Japan in vicinity, comfortableness of course facilities, the presence of many hot springs nearby, etc.
