이스트러더퍼드, 뉴저지 2023년 10월 3일 /PRNewswire=연합뉴스/ -- Cambrex는 2일 노스캐롤라이나주 하이포인트에 위치한 소분자 활성원료(Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient, API) 제조 시설의 생산 역량 확충을 완료했다고 발표했다. 총 3800만 달러를 투자해 실시한 이번 확충을 통해 최첨단 분석 및 화학 개발 실험실 1곳, 임상 제조실 2곳, 작업 센터 3곳과 2000리터 규모의 원자로를 갖춘 소규모 상업용 제조 시설 1곳을 새로 추가해 시설의 제조 용량을 두 배로 늘렸다.

하이포인트의 제조 시설의 생산 역량은 이전에 인수한 Snapdragon Chemistry이 가진 역량을 보완해준다. Snapdragon Chemistry는 API 배치(batch) 및 연속 순환식 공정(continuous flow process) 개발을 위한 R&D를 전문으로 하는 회사다. Snapdragon Chemistry와 하이포인트의 생산 역량 확충 덕에 이제 고객은 R&D부터 상업화까지 유동화학(flow chemistry) 스케일업을 하나의 공급업체를 통해 해결할 수 있게 됐다.

Cambrex Completes $38 Million Capacity Expansion in High Point, North Carolina

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J, Oct. 2, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- Cambrex today announced the completion of its $38 million capacity expansion at its small molecule active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturing facility in High Point, North Carolina. This expansion doubles the facility's manufacturing capacity, with new state-of-the-art analytical and chemical development laboratories, two new clinical manufacturing suites, and a small-scale commercial manufacturing operation with three work centers and 2,000 Liter reactors.
