(BEIJING, Aug 4, 2023 PRNewswire=연합뉴스) Bruno Dercon, officer-in-charge of the UN-Habitat Regional Office for Asia and the Pacific, praised the efforts made by Wehai city, east China's Shandong Province in achieving sustainable urban development and net-zero carbon emissions goal.

During his participation in the Exquisite City Forum which was held on June 12, 2023 in Weihai, Bruno Dercon had a good impression of Weihai. Weihai is "a prosperous, beautiful, well organized clean city," Dercon said.

It is learned that the forum was held at the time of the 20th anniversary of Weihai being awarded the UN-Habitat Scroll of Honor award for its outstanding contribution to sustainable urban development.
