(리야드, 사우디아라비아 2023년 1월 13일 PRNewswire=연합뉴스) 성스러운 모스크의 수호자 Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud 국왕의 후원으로 산업광물자원부(Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources)가 주최한 제2회 FMF의 첫날, 이 콘퍼런스에 참여한 다수의 정부 기관, 기업 및 기관 간에 25건의 협력 계약, 합작투자 및 양해 각서의 체결이 이뤄졌다.

조인식에는 에너지부 장관인 Abdulaziz bin Salman 왕세자, 투자부 장관 Khaled Al-Falih, 산업광물자원부 장관 Bandar Al-Khorayef, 산업광물자원부 광업부 차관 Khaled Al-Mudaifer도 참석했다.

이러한 협약 및 양해각서는 광물 탐사, 기술 및 커뮤니케이션, 지속가능성 표준의 적용, 현지화 및 재건, 광물 부문의 산업화 등에 관한 것이다. 이번 조인식에서는 허가권을 획득한 기업에 Khnaiguiyahand Umm Ad Damar 현장에 대한 2건의 탐사 허가권 양도 계약도 이뤄졌다.

조인식에 참가한 대표적인 현지 기관에는 에너지부, 산업광물자원부, 사우디 지질조사기구(Saudi Geological Survey), Ma'aden, 사우디 해수담수화청(Saline Water Conversion Corporation, SWCC), 킹사우드대학교의 킹압둘라아지즈 과학기술도시(King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology, KACST), 주바일 및 얀부 왕립위원회(Royal Commission of Jubail and Yanbu), 사우디 아람코, 킹파드 석유광물대학교, 사우디 상공회의소 연맹, 사우디 국가산업 개발센터(Saudi National Industrial Development Center) 등이 있다.

협약을 체결한 회사로는 Red Sea Aluminium Company, Saudi Phosphorus Industry Company, Al-Rasheed Group, Barrick Gold Corporation, Ivanhoe Electric, Eurasian Resources Group, Moxico Resources 및 Ajlan & Brothers Mining Company, EV Metals, Hangzhou Jinjang Fluor Corporation, BAO Steel, Hallcore Drilling Corporation, Shell Corporation, Rockburst Technologies Corporation, Metso Outotec, Thyssenkrupp Mitsu Corporation 및 노키아 등이 있다.

The Future Minerals Forum (FMF) sees 25 Memoranda of Understanding, Joint Ventures and agreements exchanged on its Opening Day

RIYADH, Saudi Arabia, Jan. 12, 2023 /PRNewswire/ -- The first day of the second ever FMF, hosted by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, under the auspices of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, witnessed the exchange ceremony of 25 co-operation agreements, JV's and Memoranda of Understanding between a number of government agencies, companies and institutions participating in the conference.

The signing ceremony was attended by the Minister of Energy, His Royal Highness Prince Abdulaziz bin Salman; the Minister of Investment, His Excellency Engineer Khaled Al-Falih; the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources; His Excellency Bandar Al-Khorayef, and the Deputy Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources for Mining Affairs, His Excellency Engineer Khaled Al-Mudaifer.

These agreements and Memoranda of Understanding covered mineral exploration, technology and communications, the application of sustainability standards, localization and rehabilitation, and industrialization in the minerals sector. The signing ceremony also witnessed the handing over of the two exploration licenses for the Khnaiguiyahand Umm Ad Damar sites to the companies that won their licenses.
