INDIA MEDICAL CAMP

epa01452298 An Indian tribeswoman (C) is being examined by an Indian Army doctor (R), during a medical camp organised by the 21st Mountain Division of the Indian Army at Seppa, in the remote East Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh, near Indo-China international border, northeast India, 17 August 2008. Due to lack of proper medical facility the tribes inhabit in this district have been severely sufferings from diseases like diarrhea, dysentery, TB and Malaria. The rugged terrains of the district make transport and communication extremely difficult. There are few surface roads, which remain cutoff during summer seasons due to floods and landslides. EPA/STR
