Global Sae-A Group, a Korean textile giant, marked the second anniversary of its acquisition of U.S. clothing manufacturing company Tegra during an event at the company's Honduras headquarters on Tuesday.
Tegra is a clothing manufacturing company specializing in sportswear. It was acquired by Sae-A Trading, a subsidiary of Global Sae-A Group, in April 2024.
The anniversary event was attended by representatives from Nike, one of Tegra's major partners, such as Senior Director Marcos Duarte.
"It is a very proud achievement that Tegra's quality and execution are being recognized by global clients since joining the group," said Sae-A Trading CEO Ha Jeong-su through a video message. “Tegra’s expertise in sports clothing, speed and execution will continue to generate great synergy when combined with Sae-A Trading’s global capabilities."
Tegra returned to operating profit just one year after Sae-A Trading incorporated Tegra in April 2024 and is projected to show a $50 million increase in sales this year compared to 2024, according to Sae-A Trading.
Tegra currently records a 100 percent consecutive delivery compliance rate for 52 consecutive weeks, according to the company. The company also endeavors to expand its business scope through a new factory. One of Tegra’s subsidiaries, textile company Decotex, opened a new factory in El Salvador in February to expand its manufacturing capabilities.
Tegra also held a Manufacturing Modernization event with Nike in March.
"Tegra's speedy customer service and strong quality competitiveness will create an even bigger synergy through Global Sae-A Group's global supply chain accumulated over the past 40 years," Tegra CEO Rich Hwang said at the celebratory event. “We plan on making Tegra the leader of the global sports clothing industry.”
