South Korea’s Hanwha Robotics Co. announced on Thursday that it is participating in Automatica 2025, the world’s largest robotics and automation exhibition, for the first time.

The four-day exhibition is being held in Munich, Germany, until Friday.

Under the theme “A Step into the Future,” Hanwha Robotics set up a booth to showcase a wide range of its latest technologies, including its full lineup of collaborative robots, mobile robots, and mobile manipulators, or robots that combine collaborative and mobile robots.

In particular, it unveiled its high-payload collaborative robot, the HCR-32, to the public for the first time.

The robot can lift objects weighing up to 32 kilograms, making it suitable for handling heavy solar panels or battery modules.

Hanwha Robotics also demonstrated the motion tracking capabilities of the HCR-10L, a collaborative robot launched this year, by showcasing a powder-coating process on a model car hood.

The robot has an arm reach of up to 1,800 millimeters.

When a person moves a controller by hand, the collaborative robot tracks the motion path, records it, and then replicates the operation.

Other products on display included the HCR-5W, a collaborative robot optimized for welding tasks, a multi-robot system capable of controlling two collaborative robots with a single controller, and a mobile manipulator.

“The use of collaborative robots in the European market is expanding beyond traditional automation processes such as pick-and-place to various fields including welding,” a Hanwha Robotics official said. “We plan to expand our market share by supplying solutions optimized for each industry, going beyond simply providing robot hardware.”
