[Yu Jin-hee, Edaily Reporter] ROWAN Inc. (ROWAN), a specialized medical AI and digital healthcare company, has established a strategic collaborative framework with Japan’s leading research institution and a global leader in robotics solutions to supply digital dementia prevention solutions to the Japanese market.

ROWAN announced that it signed a tripartite Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on March 2nd, 2026, with the National Center for Geriatrics and Gerontology (NCGG) and SoftBank Robotics Corp. (SoftBank Robotics) to develop and validate an integrated dementia prevention program for the elderly in Japan.

Strategic Synergy: Medical AI Meets Global Robotics Platform

The collaboration aims to develop an integrated solution by connecting ROWAN’s digital cognitive training software, ‘SuperBrain’, with SoftBank Robotics’ humanoid robot platform, backed by the clinical expertise of NCGG. The three parties intend to combine their unique strengths to create an innovative dementia prevention ecosystem in Japan.

ROWAN Inc.: Leveraging its medical AI technology, ROWAN will lead the advancement of the SuperBrain software and its technical connection with the robot platform.

SoftBank Robotics Corp. : As a global leader in robotics, SoftBank Robotics will provide its humanoid robot platform and necessary maintenance support for the operation of the program while leading sales and distribution through its extensive business network in Japan.

National Center for Geriatrics and Gerontology (NCGG): As Japan’s central hub for geriatrics research, NCGG is anticipated to provide clinical expertise and research infrastructure, and support the design of clinical trials to validate the program’s efficacy.

Expansion Through Local Proof of Concept (PoC) and Nationwide Distribution

Following the signing of this MOU, ROWAN plans to launch a local Proof of Concept (PoC) project targeting the Japanese population. This initiative is designed to bolster clinical evidence of SuperBrain’s effectiveness specifically for Japanese users and to aim for the localization of the service.

Upon successful validation, the parties intend to rapidly expand the distribution network across Japan, targeting nursing homes and senior welfare facilities by utilizing SoftBank Robotics’ powerful market presence.

"This collaboration with NCGG, which possesses world-class clinical capabilities, and SoftBank Robotics, a global leader in robotics solutions, is a significant milestone for SuperBrain to be recognized as a global standard," said a representative from ROWAN. "Through successful local validation, we will move quickly to provide innovative digital healthcare solutions to the dementia prevention market in Japan."
