태극마크를 달고 A매치 2경기 연속골을 기록한 손흥민이 메이저리그사커(MLS)로 돌아가서도 물 오른 감각을 이어갔다.

손흥민은 14일(한국시간) 미국 캘리포니아주 샌타클래라의 리바이스 스타디움에서 열린 LA FC와 새너제이 어스퀘이크스의 2025 MLS 30라운드 원정경기에서 경기 시작 후 52초만에 시즌 2호골을 터뜨렸다.

이날 LAFC는 손흥민의 ‘번개 선제골’에 힘입어 4대2로 승리하며 새너제이 원정 6연패의 치욕에서도 벗어나게 됐다. LAFC는 12승7무8패(승점 44)로 서부지구 5위로 올라섰다.

4-3-3 포메이션의 최전방 공격수로 나선 손흥민은 전반 52초만에 왼쪽 풀백 아르템 스몰야코프가 페널티 박스 안쪽으로 낮게 찔러 준 볼을 쇄도하던 손흥민이 침착하게 슈팅해 골망을 흔들었다.

손흥민의 출전한 경기 기준으로는 3경기 연속골이다. 앞서 손흥민은 지난 7일 미국과 평가전에서 1골 1도움을 기록했고, 10일 멕시코전에서는 0대1로 끌려가던 후반 20분 강력한 왼발 하프 발리 슈팅으로 동점골을 넣으며 2경기 연속골을 넣는 등 2골 1도움을 기록했다.

그리고 손흥민은 다시 MLS로 돌아와 지난달 24일 댈러스FC전에서 MLS 데뷔골을 넣은 지 2경기 만에 다시 득점포를 가동하며 스스로 왜 자신이 팀 내 최고 연봉 선수인지 증명해냈다.

하지만 아쉽게 축구 통계 전문 업체 풋몹에 따르면 손흥민은 이날 패스 성공률 87%(13/15), 기회 창출 1회, 태클 1회 등을 기록하며 평점 7.5점으로 LA FC 선수 중 공동 3위를 기록했다.
