Samsung launches 2025 AI washing machine with smart features

Samsung Electronics Co. on Friday unveiled a new artificial intelligence (AI) washing machine, equipped with powerful smart features that offer improved performance and energy efficiency.

The new lineup integrates a variety of AI technologies designed to not only enhance washing performance but also conserve energy and reduce noise and vibration.

The AI customized wash feature uses AI to automatically adjust water levels and rinse times according to the weight and type of laundry, resulting in cleaner and more delicate washes.

The washer detects laundry weight in 10 levels to control water usage and it recognizes three types of fabrics – delicate, towels, and general clothing – to adjust rinse time and intensify accordingly.

The AI vibration and noise reduction system also senses the hardness of the floor surface and reduces vibration by up to 33 percent, allowing for quieter washing.

The new washer supports Wi-Fi connectivity and is compatible with SmartThings.

When AI energy saving mode is activated through SmartThings, energy consumption can be reduced by up to 20 percent.

Other notable features include an AI course sync that recommends a drying cycle based on the selected washing course and a downloadable course that offers custom wash settings for seven types of laundry.
