Hybe is set to debut a next-generation boy group in the US, bringing together top industry figures, including company Chair Bang Si-hyuk, Hybe America CEO Scooter Braun and Grammy-winning producer Ryan Tedder, to lead the project.

According to Hybe on Friday, Bang and Braun have teamed up with Tedder to scout and develop members for the new group.

“Hybe Music Group artists continue to dominate major charts globally every year, proving their impact in the industry,” Bang said in a statement Friday. “With Katseye, we demonstrated that K-pop’s training and development system can succeed in the mainstream US market. Launching a new boy group with Ryan Tedder marks a significant step forward in continuing our legacy in the music industry.”

As part of the project, Hybe has launched an official audition website, inviting aspiring artists to apply. Applicants must be between the ages of 13 and 23 and submit a profile photo, self-introduction and performance videos showcasing their vocal and dance skills.

Tedder, a four-time Grammy-winning and multiplatinum producer, has worked with global superstars like Beyonce, Adele and Ed Sheeran, earning recognition for his creative direction. He has also contributed to Hybe Music Group’s catalog, producing songs such as TXT’s “Back for More,” &Team’s “Dropkick” and Katseye’s “Debut.”

“I’m thrilled to be part of this exciting new project. We are going to create the most fan-driven group with the best music possible,” Tedder said in a statement.

With BTS leading Hybe’s global expansion, Bang has launched numerous international artists including TXT and Illit, raising anticipation over whether his K-pop training and development system can once again make an impact in the US market. His role in debuting Hybe’s first multinational girl group, Katseye, in the US last year earned him a spot on Billboard’s 2025 Power 100, ranking at No. 17 alongside Braun.

Katseye, formed through Hybe’s collaboration with Geffen Records, quickly gained traction after its debut EP “SIS (Soft Is Strong)” entered the US Billboard 200 chart at No. 119 on Aug. 31, 2024.

Braun, known for managing global superstars such as Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande, brings extensive industry expertise and a strong network to the project, further strengthening Hybe’s expansion into the US market.
