Sejong University achieves high rankings in 2025 THE

Sejong University demonstrated its global competitiveness by achieving strong results in the 2025 Times Higher Education (THE) World University Subject Rankings.
In the latest rankings, Sejong University placed between 151st and 175th in the category of business and economics, 176-200th in engineering and computer science, 201-250th in natural sciences, and 251-300th in social sciences and life sciences.
Within South Korea, it ranked fourth in social sciences, fifth in business and economics, eighth in computer science, natural sciences, and life sciences, and ninth in engineering.
Notably, Sejong’s School of Business ranked fifth in South Korea, following Seoul National University, Yonsei University, Sungkyunkwan University and Korea University. The school has also received accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business for a fourth consecutive time, an achievement attained by fewer than 5 percent of business schools worldwide.
The university’s strong performance in engineering and computer science, ranking in the global top 200, highlights its research excellence and educational strength, the school explained. Sejong University attributed its success to strategic investments in engineering curricula, faculty recruitment and improvements in research facilities, marking a significant shift since the 1990s toward innovation in science and technology.
“These rankings reflect Sejong University’s commitment to becoming a globally competitive institution. We will continue to enhance our research capabilities, improve educational quality, and expand international research collaborations to solidify our position as a world-class university," President Eom Jong-hwa said.
