The labor union of Hyundai Transys Co., an auto parts unit of South Korea’s Hyundai Motor Group, announced on Saturday that it will end a month-long strike and return to the workplace.

The decision is expected to resolve production disruptions at some Hyundai Motor Co. and Kia Corp. factories due to a shortage of transmission supplies from Hyundai Transys.

The Hyundai Transys union decided to withdraw from the strike during its 16th strike action committee meeting, allowing all union members to return to work starting on Monday.

However, the union warned that it will continue to refuse overtime and extra shifts, as negotiations for this year’s wage and collective bargaining agreement have not concluded yet.

The union reportedly did not present any new demands related to negotiations nor has it decided a schedule for resuming negotiations.
