Naver Corp. announced on Wednesday the beta launch of its new Naver Plus Store, an artificial intelligence (AI)-powered service that offers personalized shopping experience.

The platform leverages advanced AI algorithms to analyze user behavior and provide customized recommendations.

For example, users with a sporty lifestyle might see curated feeds featuring popular athletic shoes, workout apparel, and protein drinks.

Along with relevant product suggestions, the store highlights real-time flash sales, applicable coupons, and promotional offers.

Users also receive optimized pricing that automatically reflects any membership benefits.

To enhance its shopping services, Naver plans to expand in two directions – Product-focused features like search and comparison will be integrated into a revamped version of its price comparison service, which now includes improved catalog functionalities.

Also, AI-driven recommendations, previously scattered across services like AiTEMS and FOR YOU, will be consolidated within the Naver Plus Store, making it the central hub for personalized shopping.

The launch is also expected to provide new opportunities for small businesses to strengthen their branding and increase sales.

With personalized recommendations tailored to individual customers, merchants can showcase relevant products and benefits to loyal customers, while also increasing the likelihood of reaching potential buyers.

Naver said that AI-powered recommendation blocks currently achieve over 50 percent higher click-through rates than standard search results.

The purchase conversion rate for its FOR YOU service increased by about 40 percent in September compared to the same period last year, underscoring continuous improvements in recommendation quality.
