The board at NewJeans' agency ADOR voted against reinstating Min Hee-jin as the CEO in a meeting convened by Min on Wednesday.
The result came a day after a local court dismissed Min's file for an injunction to have her seat as CEO given back to her. Three out of five of the current ADOR board members are executives at HYBE.
Min will sit as a board member of ADOR for three years after her term was extended earlier this month.
Min had filed the injunction after ADOR's board of directors voted to remove her as CEO, replacing her with Kim Ju-young, HYBE's head HR officer, as the new CEO in August.
She sought reinstatement, arguing that her dismissal violated her shareholder agreement with HYBE and contradicted a prior court decision from May 30, which prohibited voting to remove her as CEO.
