Tickets for a culinary event featuring star judge Anh Sung-jae and other celebrated chefs from Netflix’s hit cooking show “Culinary Class Wars” sold out in just 10 seconds.
Hosted by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, the event celebrates Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants awards, which took place in Seoul in March.
Around 450,000 people accessed the online reservation platform "Catch Table" simultaneously for a chance to join the event, according to the city government on Monday. Tickets were sold at 2 p.m. on Monday for 40,000 won ($29) each.
Chefs who previously worked alongside Anh at his three-star Michelin restaurant, Mosu, will join to create a unique gourmet experience for the 150 attendees. The lineup includes Kang Seung-won, known as "Triple Star" on the show, Bae Kyung-jun, nicknamed "One Two Three" and chefs Jeong Young-hoon and Oh Jong-il.
Chef Anh will serve as the M.C. for the event.
Ticket holders will enjoy four fine dining dishes while taking in views of the Han River at the Sebitseom floating islands on Nov. 3.
