Bae Yo-hwan, a graduate of CJ CheilJedang Corp.’s Cuisine K chef training program, is set to open a modern Korean restaurant called DOORI, the company announced on Thursday.

This is the first time a young chef from the Cuisine K program has launched his own establishment.

Cuisine K was created to accelerate the global popularity of Korean cuisine by discovering and nurturing talented young chefs. The project was conceived and led by Lee Sun-ho, head of CJ CheilJedang’s food growth division.

DOORI will feature a 17-course tasting menu that reimagines seasonal Korean ingredients, combining modern culinary techniques with traditional flavors.
