Samsung Elec forms labor-management TF to improve working conditions

Samsung Electronics Co. has launched a joint labor-management task force to improve working conditions in its semiconductor production processes, the company announced Thursday.

The task force aims to reduce physical strain and work fatigue, particularly targeting musculoskeletal issues, with the ultimate goal of enhancing job satisfaction.

In partnership with external experts, the task force will conduct on-site assessments of musculoskeletal risk factors in production lines and collect feedback through surveys and interviews with relevant departments.

The collected insights will be used to develop practical improvements, which will be reviewed by industrial health and academic experts before finalization.

Samsung Electronics emphasized the initiative’s significance as a joint effort between the company and its labor union.
