Australian golfer Hannah Green wins BMW Ladies Championship in Paju

Australian golfer Hannah Green won the BMW Ladies Championship at Seowon Valley Country Club in Paju in Gyeonggi on Sunday with a 19-under-par, 269, claiming the sixth LPGA victory in her career.

Australian golfer Hannah Green won the BMW Ladies Championship at Seowon Valley Country Club in Paju, Gyeonggi on Sunday with a 19-under-par, 269, claiming the sixth LPGA victory in her career.

Green took the title after surpassing eventual runner-up Celine Boutier by a margin of one stroke. Sung Yu-jin and Cho Hye-jin tied for fourth with a 16-under-par, managing the best Korean result in the field.

Defending champion Minjee Lee of Australia tied for 33rd and failed to become the first golfer to win the title twice.

Sunday’s title is Green’s third of the 2024 LPGA season, after winning the HSBC Women’s World Championship in March and the JM Eagle LA Championship in April.

With the end of the BMW Championship, the only LPGA tournament in Korea this year, the Tour now heads to Malaysia and Japan for its Asia swing, before returning to the United States for the final phase of the season that runs through the end of November.

The Maybank Championship in Malaysia will tee off on Thursday, with the CME Group Tour Championship in November wrapping up the season schedule.

This campaign has seen two Korean winners so far: Amy Yang at the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship and Ryu Hae-ran at the FM Championship.
