SLL JoongAng, Studio Slam and YG Plus are launching a new label to manage the finalists of JTBC's upcoming K-pop audition show “Project 7.”
SLL and its production label Studio Slam — the shop behind Netflix's hit cooking show “Culinary Class Wars” and JTBC's global audition franchise “Sing Again” (2020-4) — will handle the debut and global activities of the seven-member boy group selected during the show's finale.
YG Plus will also spearhead various businesses leveraging the show's IP, including the investment and distribution of the rookie band's music.
JTBC's “Project 7,” which premieres at 8:50 p.m. on Friday with two consecutive episodes, is hosted by Lee Soo-hyuk and features notable K-pop figures including producer Ryan Jhun and singer Ha Sung-woon. Viewers will be able to vote for their favorite contestants and form new teams in each round, ultimately helping to shape the final debut group.
