First batch of 27 Palestinian medical students arrive in Pakistan to continue studies

The first batch of 27 Palestinian medical students arrived in Lahore, Pakistan, on 14 October as part of a larger initiative to support a total of 192 students pursuing fully funded medical and dental studies in the country. This effort, a collaboration among the Pakistan's charity Al-Khidmat Foundation, Doctors of Rahman, and the Global Relief Trust, comes in response to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, where the ongoing conflict has resulted in over 42,000 fatalities and significant destruction of healthcare and educational facilities. The Pakistani foreign ministry had previously announced scholarships for over 100 Palestinian students, aiming to provide them with opportunities for continued education amidst the turmoil in their homeland.
