SK telecom upgrades its phone call platform with AI

South Korea’s mobile carrier SK telecom Co. announced on Monday that it is upgrading its phone call platform with new artificial intelligence (AI) features and rebranding it from ‘T Phone’ to ‘A.(dot) phone’.

Along with a call recorder and summary functions, the AI feature provides insights into where the call might come from and offers users suggestions on what to say next. It also gives a summary of recent interactions with the caller, helping users engage in flawless conversations. It also identifies and blocks unreported, suspicious numbers, while A.Tap gives suggestions on who to call and offers reminders of schedules arranged from the calls.
