The Clos de Montmartre is closed to the public throughout the year, but it opens during the annual 'Montmartre Wine Harvest Festival' (Fete des Vendanges de Montmartre). The vineyard was established in 1933 after a petition by local inhabitants to prevent new construction in the neighborhood. Over 2,000 grapevines were planted on the hill, with over 30 grape varieties. The 91st edition of the Montmartre wine harvest festival runs from 09 to 12 October 2024. EPA/TERESA SUAREZ
