(MHNSports Intern Reporter Yena) BTS's V proved his popularity and musicality through his solo album 'Layover'.

According to a report from the Japan Record Association on the 10th, V's first solo album, 'Layover,' released in September last year, has sold over 250,000 cumulative copies as of September, earning it Gold Disk 'Platinum' certification. This marks 'Layover' as V's first work to receive Gold Disk 'Platinum' certification.

The Japan Record Association grants Gold Disk certifications each month based on cumulative sales of singles and albums: Gold (over 100,000), Platinum (over 250,000), Double Platinum (over 500,000), Triple Platinum (over 750,000), and Million (over 1,000,000).

V's and 'Layover's popularity is also reflected in Japan's Oricon charts. Recently, an LP version of the album was released, and as a result, 'Layover' surprisingly topped the Oricon Daily Album Ranking on September 30.

Upon its release, 'Layover' went straight to number one on the Daily Album Ranking and enjoyed immense popularity. The title track 'Slow Dancing' also reached number one on the Daily Digital Single Ranking.
