Korea Grand Music Awards to kick off inaugural event in November

The Korea Grand Music Awards' (KGMA) organizing committee announced on Tuesday that it will reveal an additional lineup of performers for its upcoming two-day music festival kicking off on Nov. 16. The committee had previously unveiled the names of most of the artists that will take the stage at its inaugural music event, including NewJeans, aespa and Riize. Hosted by the local news outlet Ilgan Sports and presided over by the KGMA's organizing committee, the event is being held for the first time this year.
The organizing committee revealed the lineup of artists, ranging from K-pop and rock to trot music. It includes NewJeans, aespa, NiziU, Ateez, Zerobaseone, SHINee member Taemin, Day6, EXO member Doh Kyung-soo, Riize, Bibi, STAYC, NCT Wish, Unis, Yoo Hwe-seung, JO1, P1Harmony, QWER, Young Tak, Jung Dong-won, Lee Chan-won and Song Ga-in.
Leading the production of the program is Han Dong-cheol, CEO of Funky Studio. Han is known for his work on the inaugural edition of the MAMA Awards (1999), the domestic hip-hop competitions “Show Me the Money” (2012-20) and “Unpretty Rapstar” (2015-16) and the competition series “Produce 101” (2016-19).
