North Chungcheong is providing counseling services with interpretation support for foreign residents until December.
International students, foreign workers and overseas-born Koreans living in Eumseong County can receive free legal and administrative consultations from experts, with professional interpreters available for translation, according to the Eumseong County Support Center for Foreigners.
The free counseling sessions will be held every Sunday at the Eumseong County Support Center for Foreigners, with two time slots: from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Legal counseling covers issues such as unpaid wages and civil or criminal lawsuits, while administrative counseling includes foreigner registration, extension of stay, changes to immigration status, nationality acquisition and legal challenges to administrative decisions.
Reservations are required for counseling sessions. Individuals can also receive counseling with translation services by calling the center at 1551-1335.
Additionally, the center offers various educational programs for foreign residents, including Korean language classes, TOPIK preparation courses and training to earn forklift truck operator licenses.
