She decided to leave and initiated the process to move out to Egypt through the Rafah border. “I stayed because of bad luck, the crossing was closed.”

“After the deliberate killing of journalists in the Gaza Strip - more than 175 were killed in Gaza -, as a woman I no longer feel safe. There is fear, tension, terror. Even this outfit that we wear, the press vest, no longer provides protection for the journalists working in the field,” she says.
