GS Group hosts AI tech workshop with LLM app developer LlamaIndex

South Korea’s GS Group showcased the latest artificial intelligence (AI) trends with LlamaIndex, a global large language model (LLM) app development solutions company, in Seoul on Thursday.

According to GS Group on Friday, the event, titled “LlamaIndex & 52g-GenAI Connect Day,” was designed to share insights on AI advancements and encourage networking within the field.

LlamaIndex, headquartered in Silicon Valley, the United States, is recognized for providing comprehensive services that simplify the development of applications based on LLMs.

LlamaIndex, alongside LangChain, is considered one of the leading innovators in generative AI, according to GS Group.

The event was co-hosted by GS Group’s innovation community, 5pen 2nnovation GS (52g), which drives the group’s digital transformation (DX) efforts, and LlamaIndex.

It was the first workshop hosted by LlamaIndex in Korea.

Speakers at the event included Pierre-Loic Doulcet, LlamaIndex’s document analytics engineer, and Heo Hoon, tech lead at Liner, a Korean startup specializing in hyper-personalized AI agent solutions.

GS Group opened the event not only to its internal members but also to external AI engineers, providing an opportunity for local developers to engage with the global AI ecosystem and foster a sense of community.

Over 100 attendees participated, including 70 external AI engineers.

The event was also shared via DeepLearning.AI, an education platform founded by Stanford University’s Andrew Ng, further expanding its reach to the broader AI community.
