South Korea’s Lotte Hotels & Resorts is set to expand its presence in the United States with a new property in Indiana.

Tentatively named L7 Indiana, the hotel will solidify Lotte’s growing footprint across the country.

Lotte currently operates four hotels in the U.S. under various brands, including L7. It recently launched its 4.5-star L7 Chicago.

According to industry sources on Tuesday, Lotte Hotels & Resorts plans to manage the new L7 property in Westfield, Indiana, under a management contract.

Earlier this month, Lotte signed an agreement with Eastern Group, a U.S. construction firm founded by a Korean-American.

Under the deal, Eastern Group will be responsible for the development and construction, while the hotel’s design will be handled by Andmore Partners, a Korean architecture firm in the U.S. This will mark the second L7 property in the U.S. and Lotte’s first fully outsourced management model without any ownership stake.

The new hotel will be located near a major highway connecting Alabama and Michigan, a prime location for travelers.

It will cover 22,480 square meters of land, with a hotel building spanning 13,440 square meters and a commercial facility occupying 990 square meters.

The five-story hotel will feature 215 guest rooms. Construction is expected to begin in the second half of next year, with completion slated for early 2028.

Lotte Hotels is targeting business travelers in the region, particularly employees of the nearby Samsung SDI electric vehicle battery plant, which will begin operations in 2027 and is just a 35-minute drive away.

By securing a steady stream of corporate guests, Lotte aims to ensure long-term demand for the property.

The hotel’s proximity to the Grand Park Sports Campus, which attracted 3.2 million visitors last year, is also expected to further boost occupancy rates.
