Food transactions rise despite challenging conditions

Both the online and offline food markets are showing solid growth despite weak consumer sentiment and sluggish conditions in the retail sector.

Online food transactions totaled 27.78 trillion won ($20.8 billion) between January and July of this year, up 21.9 percent from last year, according to survey data Statistics Korea released Monday.
