Home voting for the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections

The Election Commission of India (ECI) initiated a home voting facility for the elderly in the ongoing Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly elections, which are being held over three phases from 18 September to 01 October 2024. The first phase recorded about 61 percent voter turnout, according to the Election Commission of India (ECI). A total of 239 candidates from 26 constituencies will be contesting in the second phase of the Jammu and Kashmir assembly elections on 25 September 2024. The third and last phase of the polls is scheduled for 01 October 2024, with the results for the 90-member Legislative Assembly polls to be announced on 08 October 2024.
