Celebration of the Toro de la Vega bull tournament in Tordesillas

After five centuries of celebration, residents of Tordesillas had to change this traditional tournament and stop killing the bull in public as a consequence of a decree ordered by the regional government of Castilla and Leon on 19 May 2016. By this government decree, the 'Toro de la Vega' has ended, in which horsemen chased and killed a bull in a pine grove near the River Duero. EPA/R. GARCIA
