Former NCT member Taeil's sex crime case has been referred to prosecution, police said Friday.
The 30-year-old former NCT member, whose real name is Moon Tae-il, was handed over the prosecutors on Thursday for committing a sex offense against an adult woman.
"Taeil was not on drugs at the time of the crime," a police official told reporters, but did not share further details on his offense.
Taeil was reported on June 13 and questioned on Aug. 28. His agency SM Entertainment announced that he quit NCT the next day.
Taeil debuted in 2016 as a member of NCT's subgroup NCT U. He took time off from group activities last year after suffering an injury to his right thigh from a traffic accident on Aug. 15.
