BLACKPINK'S Lisa Wins Best K-Pop Award at 2024 VMAs

(MHNSports Editer Yena, Repoter sengmin) Performing as a soloist, Blackpink's Lisa won the Best K-Pop award at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards. 

On the 11th, the 2024 VMAs took place at UBS Arena, in New York. 

On the same day, Lisa won the category "Best K-Pop" with her solo song 'Rockstar', which was released in June. 

Lisa shared in her speech: "Rockstar was a meaningful comeback for me (…). So this is very, very special to me. Thank you to RCA family and Team Loud, and Blinks and Lilies all around the world!".

Lisa's recent award is her second achievement following the release of her solo track "LALISA" in 2022. It is particularly significant as it highlights her success not only through her activities with BLACKPINK but also through her solo pursuits.

Previously, the nominees for Best K-Pop at the 2024 MTV VMAs included BTS's Jungkook with "Seven," NCT DREAM with "Smoothie," NewJeans with "Super Shy," Stray Kids with "LALALALA," and TOMORROW X TOGETHER (TXT) with "Deja Vu."

Meanwhile, last year's MTV VMA for Best K-Pop was won by Stray Kids with their song "S-Class".
