Naver Pay launches PayPet Raising service

Naver Pay, an online payment service of South Korean tech giant Naver Corp., has launched Raising PayPet, a service that allows users to raise a character while earning points in a fun way.

According to the company on Thursday, the service characters are Moa, a puppy, Bonnie, a cat, and Rich, a hamster. Users can randomly choose one of the three characters.

They can level up their PayPet in stages up to level 5 as they collect Naver Pay points and reach certain thresholds.

The more frequently users use Naver Pay services, such as confirming purchases and writing reviews, and complete missions in the benefits tab in its app, the more points they can accumulate.

The company also announced a revamp of the benefits tab to consolidate all point missions that were previously scattered.

Users can now easily and quickly view all point benefits on the tab, including those from in-store payments, purchase confirmations on Naver Shopping, and review posting.
