Cutting-edge innovations draw attention at World Knowledge Forum

The 25th World Knowledge Forum hosted by Maekyung Media Group at The Inspire Entertainment Resort on Incheon’s Yeongjong Island offered visitors a glimpse of new technologies.

The forum, held between September 9 and 11, displayed booths set up by Korean startups and companies.

One of the standout booths featured a coffee-making robot with artificial intelligence.

The robot, called AI Barista Robot, has been jointly invented by Doosan Robotics Inc. and AJ Networks Corp.

Samsung Electronics Co. also drew attention with its latest foldable phones, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and Galaxy Z Fold 6, as well as smaller wearable gadgets, such as Galaxy Ring and Galaxy Watch Ultra.

This year’s forum also helped startups find investment opportunities.

Sleep tech startup ASLEEP showcased an AI-powered mattress designed to enhance sleep experiences. The company noted that it received an investment offer worth said it got an investment offer worth 1 billion won ($745,990) from a major home healthcare company.
