Hanwha’s ship-building subsidiaries to attend Gastech 2024

Hanwha Group said on Thursday that its subsidiaries will attend the Gastech Exhibition & Conference 2024 together, where they will introduce carbon-free solutions.

Gastech, the leading exhibition in the gas and energy sector, will take place from September 17th to 20th, 2024, in Houston, the United States.

Hanwha Ocean Co. will reveal a model of an ammonia turbine-powered liquefied natural gas (LNG) carrier at the event. The vessel will feature the world’s first fully carbon-free gas turbine, which does not require pilot oil to start. For its part, Hanwha Engine Co., which joined Hanwha Group earlier in the year and specializes in low-speed engines for large ships, will showcase its eco-friendly dual-fuel engine lineup.
