epa11594807 Military personnel take part in the command and staff exercise with the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces "Interaction-2024" in Balykchy at the Edelweiss training ground, 180 km from Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan, 09 September 2024. The exercise began on 07 October. The contingents of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan are participating in the exercise. About 1,500 military personnel and up to 300 units of weapons, military and special equipment, including aircraft, combat boats, and air defense systems are involved. Representatives of countries that are not members of the CSTO were invited to the exercises in the Kyrgyz Republic as observers. EPA/IGOR KOVALENKO
