Bodyfriend Inc., a South Korean health and wellness company, launched its latest medical device, the Medical Pharaoh, on Sunday.

The device, which has received certification from the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, is designed to assist with spinal issues, particularly in the neck, lower back, and pelvic areas.

It includes both cervical and pelvic correction modes and is intended to aid in traction therapy for conditions such as herniated discs and degenerative spinal stenosis in the cervical and lumbar regions.

One of the key features of the Medical Pharaoh is its ability to correct the alignment of the cervical spine and pelvis, helping to maintain the natural curvature of the spine.

The device uses six separate airbag correction mechanisms within the pelvic seat, which expand and contract to provide adjustment.

Additionally, massage modules move in all directions along the curve of the lower back, relaxing and compressing muscles to achieve correction.

“The Medical Pharaoh offers stable support and precise stimulation to areas ranging from the head, neck, shoulders, and back to the pelvis, calves, and ankles,” said Kim Ji-young, director of the medical research lab at Bodyfriend Healthcare Medical R&D Center. “This can help alleviate mild muscle pain.”
