LG supports vendors, local communities with early payments

LG Group is increasing its collaborative efforts with its suppliers as well as local communities ahead of the Chuseok holiday. The company’s efforts include early payments to suppliers and the purchase of gift certificates only available in local markets.

The conglomerate announced that its eight subsidiaries, including LG Electronics Inc. and LG Energy Solution, Ltd., plan to pay their suppliers and vendors early before the holiday. These payments amount to 950 billion won ($784 million).

LG Group will spend 15 billion won to purchase Onnuri gift certificates and offer them to its employees. The vouchers can only be used at local markets.
