Historical drama film “Harbin,” starring Hyun Bin and Park Jeong-min, is set to hit local theaters in December, according to its distributor, CJ ENM.
Director Woo Min-ho, renowned for his films like “Inside Men” (2015) and “The Man Standing Next” (2020), helmed the film, which follows the story of Korean independence movement activists in Harbin, China, during the 1900s when Korea was under Japanese colonial rule (1910-45).
The film features a star-studded lineup alongside Hyun Bin and Park, with Jo Woo-jin, Jeon Yeo-been and Lee Dong-wook also set to appear.
The exact release date will be disclosed in the near future.
“Harbin” was recently invited to the Gala Presentations section of the 49th Toronto International Film Festival, which will run through Sept. 15.
Director Woo and Hyun Bin are also scheduled to collaborate on another project, Disney+’s action thriller series “Made in Korea,” which will be Woo’s first drama series. The actor will lead the series alongside Jung Woo-sung.
