Samsung rolls out AI feature updates for S24 series, earlier models

Samsung Electronics announced on Friday that it is rolling out AI feature updates for the Galaxy S24 series and other major models released in 2023. The models receiving updates include the Galaxy S24 and S23 series (including the S23 FE), Galaxy Z Fold and Flip 5 models, and the Galaxy Tab S9 series.

With the update, users of these devices will gain access to new features supported by One UI 6.1.1, which was first introduced with the Galaxy Z Fold and Flip 6. These features include real-time translation, a writing assistant, and reply suggestions.

Additional tools available include voice-to-text transcription, PDF translation, a “sketch conversion” feature that transforms simple drawings into refined AI images, and “circle to search,” which solves math problems and helps find music. Users can also enjoy the “portrait studio” feature, which converts portrait photos into 3D characters, watercolors, and other artistic styles.
