The official YouTube channels of local entertainment company Big Planet Made and its affiliated artists, including Taemin, Lee Seung-gi and VIVIZ, were hacked early Thursday morning.
The profile images of the channels were altered to Tesla's logo and the handles were changed to "Tesla." The channels displayed only a clip of Elon Musk's speech, titled "Live: Elon Musk Joins Trump in Fiery Debate with Kamala Harris," with all the previous content removed.
Big Planet Made said that it is working with YouTube to address the problem.
"We will do our best to restore all contents as soon as possible," the company said.
Currently, the links to its affected channels, including girl group Badvillain's channel, were inaccessible as of 2:40 p.m. Thursday.
VIVIZ's official YouTube channel had a total of 604,000 subscribers as of Thursday, while Big Planet Made’s YouTube channel had 488,000 subscribers, followed by Taemin’s with 314,000 and Lee Seung-gi with 198,000.
Big Planet Made is home to artists including Taemin, VIVIZ, Lee Mu-jin, BE'O, Ha Sung-woon, Ren, Lee Seung-gi and Badvillain.
