Kakao Entertainment will host its annual Melon Music Awards (MMA) on Nov. 30, the content company said Wednesday.
MMA is the annual music award ceremony hosted by Korea's largest music streaming service, Melon, since 2009. The streaming service was launched in 2004 and has been managed by Kakao Entertainment since 2021.
"The 16th Melon Music Awards, MMA2024” will recognize and celebrate artists' achievements throughout the year through Melon's objective data, user votes and expert evaluation, according to Kakao Entertainment.
This year's ceremony, under the slogan of “New Stream of K-POP," will take place at the Inspire Arena at Mohegan Inspire Entertainment Resort in Yeongjong Island, Incheon, for the second consecutive year.
The arena can house around 15,000 individuals.
“We will honor and celebrate the iconic achievements of this year's artists with music fans, while also showcasing the new vision and future of K-pop,” said Joseph Chang, co-CEO of Kakao Entertainment.
