According to a press statement by the Indian Ministry of External Affairs, Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is travelling to Brunei at the invitation of His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah. This is the first ever bilateral visit by an Indian Prime Minister to Brunei that will coincide with the 40th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic ties between two countries. During the visit Prime Minister Modi will engage in bilateral discussions on all aspects with Brunei and also explore new areas for cooperation.
