OCI to supply key material in chip production to SK hynix

OCI Company Ltd. is poised to become a supplier of semiconductor-grade phosphoric acid to SK hynix Inc., one of South Korea’s two leading chipmakers.

Semiconductor phosphoric acid is a primary material in semiconductor production that is specifically used in the etching process of wafers.

OCI‘s semiconductor phosphoric acid, recognized for its low metal content, is produced using dry manufacturing methods. It is a versatile material applicable to all types of semiconductor chip production, including dynamic random access memory (DRAM), NAND flash chips, and foundries.

OCI has secured the leading market share in the semiconductor phosphoric acid market since 2007, with an annual production capacity of 25,000 tons.
