'Tolerade' parade and demonstration against far-right ahead Saxony State election in Dresden

One day before the Saxony State election, Tolerave eV, an alliance of Dresden-based cultural creators from the field of electronic music and civil society actors, along with more than 70 associations, collectives and initiatives, want to promote solidarity, diversity and democracy through the 9th Tolerade, a large dance demonstration. The far-right Alternative for Germany (AfD) party, which has seen a rise in the eastern state of Saxony, could gain over 30 percent of the votes. Organizers fear that a possible AfD government could cut cultural and social funding. The organizers are expecting around 10,000 participants.
